Absolutely awesome Phil...you don't seem to be enjoying this one at all!
I had a chance to try on a number of different Avenger line pieces at the Breitling AD while on vacation, and I absolutely love these on the Breitling rubber. They, unfortunately, didn't have your version, but I tried on the awesome yellow dial version, a couple chrono versions, and a couple Blackbird editions. (The AD REALLY wanted me to take one home...but I was only in 'look-only' mode.)
Kalmar2 for me today.

Chris, this is a real cruel watch. I hate that "thing" ! I am forced to wear them.
OK, this watch is one the most impressive watches I ever own.
I never was a Breitling fan. Too blingy, too much polished parts.
Until I saw this new version of the Avenger II Seawolf with the new Volcano Dial.
This Seawolf is not so blingy. Top of the lugs and the bezel are brushed. And with a Breitling rubber she looks perfect.
The most impressive detail is the dial. The rough dial finish and the polished marker play perfect together.
And the dial is perfect processed.
Another part is the case shape. Absolutely stunning on the wrist.
And very masculine.
Yesterday I ordered the Breitling Ocean Racer Rubber and the awesome deployment clasp with the inner divers ratcheting extansion.
Really expensive
Now I am ready for the next Breitling.
The Breitling Avenger II Chrono is on my list. Same Volcano dial with typical Breitling numbers.
This one

"Look only mode" I do not know

...you definitely picked a stunner Phil! The textured dial and the case finishes are indeed amazing on this one.
Congrats on ordering the awesome Ocean Racer rubber! (Awesome strap...and I hear you, with the deployment clasp is crazy expensive, but will be an incredible combo for sure!)
That Chrono you are interested in is definitely a STUNNER!
Sounds like 2017 may be off to an awesome start for you!!!

The Ocean Racer strap with the deployment clasp costs 425€.
But I could save a few bucks.
I have to cool down. The Breitling chrono have to wait.
At first I will see whats going on in the watch world 2017.
