TGIF 3T...looking forward to an extended holiday weekend going into the 4th!

(hmmm...looks like photobucket is looking for $400/year to host photos starting today?) no.gif No prior notice supplied by PB before doing this...boo!

Thanks Phil...with absolutely no prior notice, photobucket now wants $400/year from me to host my photos on 3rd party websites! That seems ridiculously expensive for image hosting. crap.gif

Looks like I will have to switch to Imgur (I think you use Imgur to host your pics, correct Phil?)

Holy hell!
This is really expensive.

I use[url= ]http://www.abload.de]abload.de
A German hosting service. Completely free and with great functionality.

I will need to find a solid (and completely free option) for hosting photos now...not paying $400 a year to host through Photobucket, that's for sure!

Looks like there are good alternatives out there including Imgur and your German hosting service abload.

The most frustrating thing is there was no prior notice...I only saw it today when I went to post pics.

I think a problem of the most hosting services is the size of the pics.

abload.de allows a pic size of 10MB.

And all images are stored indefinitely.

Thanks Phil! I did set up an Imgur account this morning...downloaded my photobucket album to my pc (over 1000 images), and uploaded the entire album to Imgur.

Here's my first hosted images from Imgur: (Very easy to use so far.)

Great Chris !
It seems to work ! bravo.gif

1000 pics is a lot.

I had to look at my account right away.
There are over 6000 pics that I loaded on my account. oh my.gif

That TROPIK is awesome. Love that grey dial.

The new Seaforth is now available. This one is so nice.
But its too tiny for me. Otherwise I ordered one.

Yes, the hosting in Imgur works great, and no annoying pop-up ads...(and free too). The site feels much faster and much more responsive than photobucket ever did! The real bummer is that all my linked photos here at 3T and other sites simply show that "upgrade" photobucket message now. I guess a good reason to simply attach images directly, but I'm not always posting from the computer that my pics are on.

WOW...6000 images Phil!!! That is a TON of images my friend!!! chickendance.gif I was definitely thankful for my Gigabit speed internet with downloading and then uploading my 1000 images. Went very fast, thankfully!

Thanks for the kind words on the Tropik...love the grey dial too...as soon as I saw Oscar list it, I knew I had to jump on it!

I agree with you, the new Seaforth looks great! It's sized smaller, yes, but I think with the thin bezel dimension it will wear very nicely, but I understand its a bit below your preferred case size.
