I would like some recommendations on cigars. Something short and with a sweet flavor. I'm also considering giving pipe smoking a try, so any input there would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Try a Java, has hint of chocolate/coffee flavor to it... for a non-descript sweet touch, try a Gispert maduro robusto size (larger sizes lose that sweetness), also Baccarat by Sosa I believe has a sweet cap on i... happy hunting/smoking murph... ;) murphy j wrote: I would like some recommendations on cigars. partagas lusintanias have a suggared tip, but they are huge with a 48 ring gauge and around 7 inches long. but is a stronger mild. you could also try out some macanudos (sp) those are good to begin with. Had an Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8 this evening. I rather enjoyed sitting outside my barracks in a lawn chair, having a pleasant smoke and watching the world go by:). |

Last night was a Cuesta-Rey Centrofino Belicoso no. 11. I didn't like the flavor of it as well as the Arturo Fuente. I have a Cuesta-Rey Centrofino Pyramid no. 9 or a Cuesta-Rey Centrofino Robusto no. 7 for tonight. I also picked up a tin of Cuesta-Rey Cameo's to try. My selection here on post is mainly those two brands with a few others thrown in. Any suggestios for those two brands? |

Thanks Tony. I'm not sure if they have those, but I'll have a look around and see if I can find them. There's 3 different places I can check here on post. I'll have to see if I can get out to an actual cigar shop this weekend when me and my buddy get together. |

I know it's a little late but I just joined the forum. I also am new to the cigar game but if you want something sweet, you may want to look at the Acid cigars by Drew Estate if you can get your hands on them. I've had the Iced Tea Infusion and the Blondie and they were both sweet (the first having more flavor) and the blondie is a shorter cigar. Worth a try! Good luck! My favorites are Fuente "Short Stories", the only cigar I can smoke anywhere near the house.  Macanudos are pretty mild too.Cheers, Griff |
