i traded my mountaineer. which i loved but 37,000 was too much for a newone. i only had 18,000 miies on it in 4 years. too many cars and not enough time to drive them all. |

yes it is a bit retro FJ40 land cruiser. but it only starts at like 21,300. and that is low for an suv that can plow with. that was the deciding factor. hard to find one. and some are charging 3000 or more over list. only 40,000 coming in this year. |

I am kind of confused as to why you would get rid of a car with on 18k on it after 4 years? I used to trade every 2 year but with 80k to 90k on them! |

well it is a company car. although my company. depreciation is why. and my sis need a car now. so i sold it to her and bought the new one. i would usually keep it for 5 yrs. not four. it only gets 3000 miles a year. so i have no trouble ever selling them. usually a friend or patient buys them. i bought it from dealer was a repo with 7,000 miles on it. i only had to pay the balance. original owner lost 13,000. was a good deal for me. i admit the toy does not have as much in luxo as the mountaineer. but for what i use it for will be better. it rides much better than the mercury. rear seat room is not as good and no third row which i never ever used as do very few yet you pay for it. ford needs to decide whether they need to have them all over 30k for starters when the imports are starting at 21k |

I think they're pretty cool looking myself, there are about a half dozen of them cruising around here. Good price, wish I could afford to go for a new vehicle 'bout now :P |
