Beautiful Watch! Wear in Good Health!

I recently purchase the Benarus Barracuda (#29/100) and was blown by the solid case and the unique 5-link watch strap.

But when I saw this Bali Hai, it Hit Me! face4.gif

Something Sneaky Here! The straps of both watches is identical! So is the basic shape of the case - Round Bezel on Squarish Case. Of course, the crown protector on the Barracuda is an extra, but otherwise, the case is similar!

Probably sourced from the same manufacturer!

Not exactly a Limited Edition, my watch, is it?

Thanks Mercury2wo, I appreciate your input.

I must say though, that it takes a lot more than a case and a bracelet to make a complete watch, and it is the creative choices made within those many elements, such as the dial, hands, bezel, lume, movement, and branding, that makes for a unique offering.

Is everything completely customized in the world of quality "boutique" timepieces?... no, of course not... and the affordable price reflects that.

So to answer your question Merc... Yes, I'd say your Benarus Barracuda is definitely a quality, Limited Edition Diver that will serve you well... I sure love my Cuda... and if you ever pick up a BaliHa'i or a CaliHa'i, you won't be disappointed. yourock.gif

Hi, Mercury2two! I have a Benarus Barracuda, too, and from speaking with Ralf think that we both used the same case supplier for the main case, though the Barracuda is 42mm, I think, and the BH is 44mm. Those aren't the only ones -- Enzo Mechana and Ocean7 also use the 42mm version like the Barracuda! Each of us then did different things with the other parts of the watches -- dials, hands, bezels, straps, backs, and movements -- so I think it's still fair to say they are unique! (But with the benefit, in many cases, that you can trade straps between the watches!)

Dear JD and Darkman,
I agree with your assessment and what you have to say and Yes! Both are awesome watches and I LOVE what has been done with the watches - don't get me wrong.

I would have liked a little more uniqueness, that's all!

Cheers!
