So, I know I have been gone awhile, between work, and that other stuff, work. I havent been on in a bit. So. I would like to welcome myself back with a present that JUST came in yesterday, SO EXCITED!! my girlfriend designed it on CAD, and then had her work shop relatives make it for me. I Totally forgot about it. Thoughts, Ideas? comments? and I havent put the good watches in yet, only a few, Ill be mounting it today and spending many hours in the office deciding what goes where. I looked ALL over for nice watch cases and couldnt seem to find any that were nice enough.

Has that fresh wood smell. Uhmmmmm. my love.gif

TOTALLY WILL!! be so nice to just look and say to myself, what 4 watches am I wearing today? I was in a class all day yesterday, and the guys I was sitting next to didnt understand the concept of the "mid morning switch" to another watch. I thought to myself, "this is a slow day, heck, im usually 3 watches deep by 1130!!!!

It looks great, craftsmanship looks excellent ThumbsUp02.gif my only comment is I'm not big on having my watches out in plain view for everyone to see....just seems an invitation for something bad to happen

Look at Oscar...he keeps his under the bed snoopy1.gif way out of sight...he even forgets they are there

I agree, Thats why my good ones are boxed up and my best ones are in a lock deposit box, I only have a couple super nices ones there, and they are going back to the boxes also.

If anyone would like the CAD drawings, PM me, and I will email them to you. has the sizes and measurements and such. this was originally going to be a 40 watch case, but shipping on that was ridiculous.

I like it Ronin, even the play on the Psalms.....

Your watch collection is a notable one with good selection, choice of materials depth and variety. If that display case were mine, I'd put a nice label at the inside part of each cavity for the watch's brand/model and the month and year I got it.

Right below the case, on the floor, I'd also put a nice drool pool catching basin so that when my buddies come over and view the watches, I'd have no problems with the floorsubtlelaugh.gif.

Big Congrats and Belated Happy Birthday, amigoThumbsUp02.gif

Oh, so you DID catch that. :) yeah I guess my Ladies mom searched hi and low to find something good like that!

I like your idea sir, I am whittling my entire collection into 2 sections, beaters/keepers. Sellers. and then High end keepers. (I guess thats 3 crap.gif) So once I have decided what goes where, i will commision some nice brass plates and the info you suggested.  GREAT IDEA! you rock.gif

Everyone but my brother, he somehow seems to whittle a watch outa me EVERY time he comes over, usually free or at half the worth!! coyote2.gif

I gotta say, everytime I walk into my office, I am just LOVING seeing watches all laid out in front of me. Now to figure out how to lock it to the wall..... maybe attach a string from the case to my toes?

Thank you everyone for your great comments, they are being passed along to the 2 ladies who designed and built this. Yes. I said that correct. My girlfriend and her aunt.  Bravo I say to them! bravo.gif

The only thing I would recommend is maybe putting a layer of felt at the bottom of each compartment.

Avoid any scratches :D

Funny you should say that, I sell a ton of 'didnt make the cut" watches on the bay, and I include 2 free microfiber towels with every sale. So I been trying to figure out a way to cut them nice and neat, and not leave it a hack job, like any of my typical project undertakings. Without spending 9 months stitching the ends of the fiber, Im about to start with an exacto knife. Ill keep you informed. if you or anyone has some good ideas, I am open to stealing them and then claiming all fame on them. mini me.gif
