How can there be a digital readout in a mechanical watch?

These days, the term "digital" is often used to refer to a quartz watch. However, the original meaning of the term in this context referred to having a display of Arabic numerals as opposed to a dial with hands, with no bearing on the movement. You read the "digits" rather than the hands. Just a bit of trivia we thought you might find of interest

I like this model from Vostok Europe quite a bit jjmcackThumbsUp02.gif...was very close to picking one of these up a few weeks ago!!!
