I won this on ebay over the weekend and it is a real departure for me and I can only think it is because I have seen the ecozilla in the daily wrist check! I am not the biggest fan of Japanese watches.....but this caught my eye

I keep thinking about pulling the trigger on one but the bezel still has me a little bit....ehhh.

Good snag though. Enjoy it! I've got 3 or so eco-drives now and love all of them.

Big Congrats, JJMThumbsup3.gif

Too bad you aren't a convert of Japanese watches. They are so good and yield immense value. Easy to buy, easy to fix, easy to amass, top quality and yet they can give some Swiss brands a run for their money. There are forums out there dedicated to the Big 3 Japanese brands and some models, some issues, some movements already enjoy cult status among loads of WIS.

Your above Citizen is a great one and I'd love to have it as my own. Superb for a tool watch and great with jeans on a weekend...aside from being a true diver.

I own 2 of these Eco Zillas Currently, One on the Stainless steel Bracelet, and one on the Rubber strap. I can not Say ENOUGH good things about it. If you want the email address of Walt who makes Walts Adaptors. (allowing you to put a Nato, or some other strap on it) let me know. That is the ONLY downfall of these watches. The Proprietary Bracelets.

The AutoZilla or EcoZilla have been on my radar for about 8 months now but someting keeps coming up. Drat! But you hit the bullseye, Ronin1111....so much good things to say. Bracelets though are ok to me.ThumbsUp02.gif. It's the head that intrigues me.

The Eco-Zilla is really nice. I've thought about getting one many times but for whatever reason never pulled the trigger. I think the Walt adapters are a must, but if I remember correctly, only the rubber strap version could be fitted with those adapters as the lug area are different between the bracelet and rubber strap versions of this watch.

You are correct sir, Walts adapters will only work to replace the factory rubber strap

Congrats on this beast. I too, been meaning to get one. When I find a great deal I'll go for it.
Yeah, I think most people under rate the Japanese brands. I'm all about them now. I'm a convert, especially for Seiko's.
Enjoy that eco zilla. Don't forget the other beast, auto zilla, automatic movement. ;)

Congrats. I have been admiring them in the daily wrist threads even tho I'm no Japanese watch fan! I like the titanium one and almost pulled the trigger recently but something always keeps me from buying it!:( Maybe the size scares me for my skinny 7" wrists ;)

anyway I love it. Great snatch!!

Brice, on the photos, your wrists don't look "skinny" at 7". You should see my wrists at 6.75 inches and yet I wear frisbeessubtlelaugh.gif.

Just try one, just one, Seiko and then you'll be hooked. Owning your first Seiko, particularly a popular diver model, is like eating a potato chip.............

You grabbed it because you are a WIS and this is a cool watch which spoke to you saying "take me home and treat me right."toon1.gif

I regret not grabbing one of these at a stupid price when my local JC Penny's was going out of business. I left it sitting there because it seemed too big. What a difference five years makes... Hindsight is 20/20!mistake.gif

Enjoy your kick ass Citizen and ignore Jeff with his Seiko pimping... we all know Citizen rules the watch world while Seiko plays second fiddle.subtlelaugh.gif
