Now I am not sure what I got myself into here, I think I may have been had?...if so it was bound to happen sooner or later being a compulsive watch buyer. I still like the look of it a lot.

Now this is the dodgy bit I think, plastic housing around the edge and a 1 Jewel movement?!
It says 1314 Swiss I think. Any info people?

hmmm ndburley...I like the overall design of this one...have no idea what this really is?  Do you know anything more about it?    What did the seller say it was?  The 777/1190 is probably on every model they made...how may they actually made...who knows?

Sorry for all the questions...

I have to say, the movement has me completely puzzled???homerthinks.gif

How is the time keeping on this one nd?...just curious.

I'm sure someone here at 3T can offer some details...that person is not me, but enjoy it!!!  I'm guessing you picked it up for less than a song...

homerthinks.gif

Thanks Simon I had a look but this is small, this movement sites inside an average size watch, 38mm roughly so you have an idea of its size. Someone must know...its really odd to me I have never seen this before. It could be cheap rubbish but I am still trying to find out more info....

P.S Simon I like your new avatar.

Congrats and Very cool NB!....Simon would be right that it is a pin lever mechanical it resembles a Lucerne "Swiss Basis" 1-jewel mechanical pin lever pendent watch movement. ....these were used in inexpensise pocket watches and are the "bare essentials" of movements .hand6.gif

I wish they would stay out of it. Nevermind....watches with "swiss" stamped on them cant be trusted these days.

I have tried to contact the seller again to confirm

without "Swiss Made" printed on the dial it is suspect...did you buy this from a vendor or a individual and did they say it was "Swiss Made"...NOS or NIB....what you paid would also play into the equation imo...the O&W MP has a eta 2801 or eta 2824 engine or an AS2063 from what I have found and they can be had for under $300. at westcoastime or Gnomon watches... both 3T friends..hand6.gif

If you did purchase it under the pretense that it was an O&W watch, and you paid with paypal, you can dispute the purchase as a fake. I did this on a watch that I purchased that was fake and all I had to do was have a reputable watch shop write a brief letter that it was indeed fake and paypal refunded my money. It took about 3 weeks.
Good luck sorting it out.

I have had a reply from the Vendor -
Dear neoburley,

this is a orginal new old stock (NOS) movement, a SWISS movement!!!!! If you do not like the watch, because its only one jewel you can send it back. But please notice, this is a SWISS movement. The Swiss have also produced such movements.

- uhren-galerie_de

Now I didn't complain about it having one Jewel I asked what movement it uses that only has 1 jewel. I paid $88 for it.

MP Military - Pilot watch - Swiss mechanical movement (New Old Stock), new

case stainless steel
New Old Stock - Swiss mechanical movement
size without crown 40 mm or 1.57 inch
high quality strap
mineral crystal
screwed exhibition back
box for 1 watch
Of course, all our articles are original goods with 2 years manufacturer's warranty and billing.
