Here's my newbie.....an Aqua Luna in gray.......and my 3rddog smile.gif

Why my third? Well, I gave my first AL in blue sometime back to my 21 year old son as a present for his good grades at Uni. So I had to buy a second one soon after, a gray one.

He loved the blue AL so much that the last time I was home, he begged for the gray one, too. How could I refuse? After all, I've been training my sons to appreciate, treasure and collect watches, too. So the gray AL flew off my wrist and went to his.

This left me with no choice but to get a 3rd one, the one posted today. It's the one on the left. The one on the right is also on my radar, the Dievas Classico. The Classico is a true abominable monster and very tempting too.......but maybe it can wait a bit.

Why a 3rd Aqua Luna? Here are my reasons:

1) the impressive case is built for rough and tumble work because of the hobnail design on the bezel wall. All my ALs are virtually scratch-free

2) the dimensions of this 1,000m stainless steel diver at 44mm by 18mm, make it a heavy and substantial watch to have on the wrist. You really know you have a precision instrument on your wrist.

3) personally, I think the AL works best with Zulus...and those, I have tons of in blue, gray, black, khaki, green, red, etc.

4) of course, inside it is an ETA 2824-2, a very reliable working unit trusted by a vast majority of formidable brands

Below is a previous joint post (with my son) taken back home when I was still the owner of the AL in gray. It was this shot that triggered my son to beg for the 2nd AL.

By the way, the unit I got was the last of just 3 pieces at Anders' shop. Had I not popped up yesterday, maybe I'd lose the chance for a replacement.

Thanks for looking and I hope you liked the little backgrounder of this incurable passion of oursbamby.gif

You would have had to wrestle your boy to get one back, and from the size of his wrist compared to yours, I think you may have had a fight on your handsdog smile.gifROF_Dog.gif

crap.gifHe's 5'11, weighs 250 pounds and holds a black belt in muay thai or thai kick boxing. I guess I'll just challenge him to an honorable game of chesssubtlelaugh.gif. Thanks, amigo!

Thanks, ncvol17. Yes, sometimes I get stares at the office or coffee shop and get to start up a few conversations. ThumbsUp02.gif

I really like the AL Blue--especially on the blue Zulu.  But I am always partial to blue anyway.  I am also a big fan of the orange minute hand.

Those are really beautiful pieces.  Beautiful and functional, what more could you ask??ThumbsUp02.gif

what is the lug-to-lug dimension on those?  I'm wondering if they will fit my 7.25" wrist.

Thanks,

Paul
