I took advantage of Orient USA's 30% off and purchased the Mako XL. I chose the blue dial version, and it turned out to be the right choice. This is my first Orient, and I must say this is one solid watch. Even the box it came in was on par with with some high end models. I attempted to take some pics, but as usual they turned out less than mediocre.

The watch is a 200 meter watch with a screw down crown, and a separate push button for a quick date change. It has a nice solid 22mm bracelet with a heavy clasp. The bezel feels good and is uni-directional with 60 clicks. I have already purchased a second Orient.

Very nice looking Orient. The blue one is the perfect choice also. Box looks upgraded from past models. sponge bob.gif

That must be the best value out there.
I have this exact model, and it was my companion on my recent 5000 mile bike trip for 2 weeks.  Never missed a beat.  Gained 32 seconds in 2 weeks!

I like it a lot. I just wish they would have kept the screw-down for the day pusher. Congrats!

Thanks guys.

As far the date pusher, why is it even there to begin with?

It's a nice feature I guess, but totally unnecessary.
