Received this one from Marc at Island Watch yesterday.
40mm and domed crystal - a different diver from what I'm used to.

regards,
Dave

Congrats! I love it but backed-up because of the 40mm... Would have been perfect in 43-44mm for me..
Still a winner

Thanks - Most of my other watches are 42 - 45mm. I thought I'd take a chance and am glad I did.

There's 2 old diver models from Zeno I've looked: One is orange a have a Doxa like style. Cool model also. Both have mineral glass or hard plexi if I remember correctly...No sapphire there.

Yes - I was torn between the Doxa style and the one I got. I like the anchor on the dial and the general 60's? 70's? look of the watch overall. I think mine's a plexiglass or acrylic actually. You can polish acrylic if you get any scratches so that's nice. (and I'll probably get some scratches with the dome being so high.)

I read that review too!  That zeno has a pretty good sized domed crystal too. I might have to save up some cash to get that one. It looks excellent.  ThumbsUp02.gif

Zeno Army Diver in black! Pretty cool. That is a big old domed acryllic crystal. I believe the black and the orange share the same case while the orange gets a Doxa like bezel. Which movement is in yours? I know they came with 2824 movements and another ETA which wasn't a hacking movement.

The ETA 2452 is in mine. Non-hacking.
I like it nonetheless!  So far it's lost 1 second in 30 hours.

Thanks Neo. What I like about it, besides the domed crystal, is the polished case (most of my other divers are brushed) which follows the retro look, and the way the crown is recessed when screwed down. I like the big numbers on the dial, AND I love the fact that they took the old "ZENO ARMY" off the dial. Having a diver watch with an anchor and the word "ARMY" on it was weird. One more thing: It came with an OK bracelet but I dislike bracelets so I popped that off right away and put on 20mm maratac strap.
More pics:

Dave

Got the orange dial version...luv it but it is way too blingy on the polished bracelet....I have been trying to decide whether to have it bead blasted but after looking at yours, I think I'll try a nice strap!

Congrats Dave....this Zeno was a very popular watch 6-7 years ago among WIS along with it's Uhr-Kraft brother and they are still holding their own....many referred to them as the "mini Doxa" in orange....very cool!  ThumbsUp02.gif

Thanks everyone! I've been away so didn't get to respond.
Wore the Zeno on a trip to DC for awhile...put it through 4 long days and it's running great! thumbsup.gif

I have been reviewing Island Watches site. Some really nice lookers. I like the Orange Doxa look and the model like yours in Orange. Your black dial looks better in your pics than in theirs. They should borrow your pics!. Nice addition.

Well thanks guy!
Marc at Island Watch is a great seller. Email him and he gets back to you very soon...
even on a sunday!  I'm waiting for a Seiko PVD BFK from him this week.
The orange Doxa-like Zeno does look pretty nice. You should pick one up!

regards,
Dave
