I kinda thought this one had to have a review as short as it may be I owed it to my mom. I lost my mom 8 days ago and she was the rock of our family. I wanted to buy a piece for my collection that I will always have and always remember her by. I do not need a watch to remember her but felt later in life it would be nice to have and enjoy the watch on holidays and special days that I could not spend with her. So seven days after her passing I ordered my Panerai 351 and it arrived this afternoon. The few photos I had time to shoot today just do not capture what a wonderful watch it is, but I will show them to you and hope to get better ones in the coming days. Now for the details
The case is 44mm TI in the 1950's style case that I just love. The case is brushed but the bezel is polished so it is somewhat two-tone, the dial is a very faint flat brown/tobacco and the 18k gold hands just pop as they move across the dial. It has the completely in-house 9000 movement under the hood and came on a really nice dark brown croc strap with a Ti Panerai labeled buckle. I am going to have Scott make an ammo strap with some type of gold stitching to make the hands pop a little more but for now it's the croc.
It has been a long week or so and my new arrival is bitter sweet but I know as my sadness fades in the coming days, weeks, and years I will enjoy my time with the 351 more and more, and the special days will be more meaningful with the 351 on my wrist. If you read this far I guess I owe you some photos! Thanks for checking it out!

First of, I'm very sorry about your loss Trent. My condolences to you and your family!

I kinda figured when you hinted at a big arrival that you had finally pulled the trigger on a Panerai!! She is beautiful!! The hands are just... Awesome! Congrats!

Wear it in good health.
