A kid would fly around with his giant robot that had a headdress like an Egyptian Pharoh. ?
As far as futuristic cartoons  The Jetsons was another of my favorites. 
Then you had the cartoons Like The Pink Panther,  The Inspector, and The Aardvark.  For laughs they cant be beat.  Scott  yourock.gif

Gloop and Gleep!  And Igoo the rock monster!  hahahah!  You're right, Jonny sako was that kid who had the giant Robot (not cartoon) with the pharoh head and missles shot out of the robot's fingers.  Was that a movie?  hahahahah! I thought it was a show I saw it so many times!  mistake.gif
