I dont know if any of you saw "When we left Earth" on the Discovery Channel. Awesome footage and stories from the Astronauts. I was only 4 months old when we landed on the moon. It always made me proud as an American the success of our space program. We really need something like that again to pull us ALL together as a nation again. Just watching the footage of the Saturn V taking off gives me goosebumps. I also recommend that if you never seen a Shuttle launch, you need to. The closest I ever got was 8 miles away. It was the first launch after Challenger. The sense of pride is unreal and the POWER of the shuttle is AWESOME!! We were 8 miles away and the roar was deafening and the ground shook! I cant wait till we start going back to the moon in 2019.
