going to a tractor show for the weekend, so I loaded a few up on my buddys truck. If there is anyone on the forum that lives in sw Pa the show is in Scottdale near Uniontown. Its at the Ft Allen show grounds off of rt 819. Stop on by, I am in the little red and white Scotty camper. Tractors on the trailer ar from fron to rear.. 1953 John Deere "R", Red one is a Massey Harris "22", next green one is a JD "H", and last is a 1960 JD "830"

Thanks Skip. There are a few shows coming up in Wa. one next weekend in Spokane, 7-30 in Lynden, 8-8to10th in Monroe. 8-16-17 in Union Gap, 8-16 Burlington, 8-24-25 in Toledo, 9-13 in Anacortes and 9-20-21 in Walla Walla. Are any of these near you?

I do well to motivate myself just to go to the mall to see a movie now days. LOL :D

looks great scot!....have a great time Buddyhand6.gif...tractors are still a big deal here where I live as it once was a big farm and horse area....horses still reign but most of the working farms have been turned into high end developments for homes:(

I love this hobby of yours. Tractors are cool as hell. I even have had some coffee table books on the subject. Beautiful American ingenuity. Everything about a tractor simply makes mechanical sense and as a whole makes historic and aesthetic sense. Much like watches but on a different scale. As a child camping in NW Pa. my father would send me and sibs a couple of miles from our cabin to "work the Bell farm". The dairy farmer Cal Bell, a friend of my father's, probably didn't get too much work out of us, we would shovel manure, pitch hay, help with milking and watch bug-eyed as cows were inseminated. I was able to ride along but I never operated a tractor. More it was a semi-annual break in his routine and a life lesson for us "city kids". At the end of our work day (for us, I don't know if Farmer Bell had an end to his work day) there would be a couple of half broken, unsaddled horses for us to ride. I'm a bit surprised we survived all that fun. I should also mention Mrs. Bell would have breakfast prepared for us after the morning work. Those meals prepared from the Bell Farm dairy as well as locally made bacon and harvested eggs are imprinted in my memory. Perhaps more idealized than actual. Well, made it home from the show. Got drenched while loading the tractors today. Had a good time. Weather was hot but a good breeze going so under the tent it was decent. Then as usual while loading it starts to pour. The show was about 45 miles from home so it made it easier to haul them on the big truck. I cant wait to get my old tractor trailer restored so I can take a load of tractors on my own. For now just one at a time. Oscar, Ohio has the second greatest number of tractor shows, Pa is first. Do you know of any shows close to you? May be I can make it to one and we can meet up sometime. I have been wanting to go to an Oh show just cant decide which one.
