I have one and love it. Just surf the "apps" icon for downloads that interest you. You have to have an itunes account of course.

My kid brother has it and loves it now. He said there is a bit of a learning curve but he had it down the first week. His girlfriend has the 1st gen and he said the 3G is much better. I have the LG Dare the iPhone just had more to it that this old Dawg needed. LOL :D Have fun with it. Check out the App site and look over the freebies first. My brother has loaded his up. ;)

My Mercedes doesn't like the 3G so it is a no go for me. Also I prefer Verizon over AT&T

What I don't like about the iPhone is that it only comes with AT&T cell service...one of the coolest features (for golfers) is that it will download almost any golf course in the country and give you exact yardage to the hole!!!!

I am replying from my iPhone. I am slowly learning how to use it. Where do you get the golf course info? It's pretty cool, every time I get a new email it let's me know. At&t has the best service here and my family are all on AT&T so it's free to talk to each other.

Except for my kid brother who went with AT&T to get the iPhone. So I have to pay to call him and my folks who have a land line. LOL :D You can likely find the app by googling "iphone apps golf" ;)

Scott, There is an App called "AroundMe". It uses the GPS in your phone to locate you and the nearest locations of whatever you want. I have had a 2G phone and recently upgraded to the 3G a couple of months ago, my wife also has a 3G phone. I like my phone because I can combine devices into one; i.e. phone, PDA and music player (iPod). woohoo.gif Also, the more you play with it the more in tips and tricks you will find. Bill B.T.W- what part of PA are you from, I'm originally from Altoona Last edited on Fri Mar 20th, 2009 01:44 pm by Paladin |

Thanks Bill, I have found the more I play on the internet, the batt goes down pretty quick. I live about 12 miles north of Somerset off Route 30. Bedford is about a 35 minute drive. We sometimes camp in Altoona or go to a Curve game.

I have yet to go to a Curve game, left home about 20 years ago (Navy). We have the Suns down here, been to few of their games. Although I'm still loyal to my roots (Die-hard Steelers fan) Last edited on Fri Mar 20th, 2009 02:40 pm by Paladin |
