This guy built a 1:40 scale model of the Japanese flagship Yamato out of legos. I thought it was pretty cool. Lego Yamato

That is justt too cool. It must be 8 feet long or more. Also, if you click on the project button and scroll down to the Yamato you can see the inner structure he made. Wonder if that is a kit you can buy from lego? I imagine its pretty pricey.
