you know the word politics is from two latin words. poly meaning many and tics meaning blood sucking leaches. the romans seemed very adept at creating very appropriate words. joke an american indian walks into a bar room carrying a bucket or manure and a shot gun. he promptly asks the bartender for a yuengling. and during conversation he tells the bar tender he is running for legislature. he downs the beer and then throws the bucket into the air and shots it and leaves. two weeks later same indian carrying another bucket of manure and welding a shot gun returns to the same bar. and immediately orders another yuengling. the same bartender. says no way . It tooks us two weeks to clean up from the last time you were here. what are you trying to do? the indian replies: I told you i was running for legislature. bartender replies, Yes, but what has that to do with what you did. indian replies, well i wanted to shoot some shit with you and see if you would clean up after me. ANd if you did. then i was well qualified to be a legislator. |
