I am searching for a new micrometer to measure my watches, etc.

Any good brands with good prices which are ACCURATE?

For microgauge and vernier caliper, the most reliable is a digital one. Cos it has the ability or rather feature to "ZERO" the reading at 0.00. As a result you are actually calibrating it ever time.

 

For non digital ones, it is best to have an object with a known thickness, diameters.... so as to gauge from there how much is the value drifted.

 

So in my opinion, one does not really need a very expensive one for perfect accuracy. A moderate one will do. :)
