The small arms trade affects tens of millions of people everyday. There are over 650 million small arms in circulation in the world today. They are produced in over 90 countries and about 1200 factories dedicated to turning out finished weapons. It is a 5 billion dollars a year in legal and illegal trade at a 4 to 1 ratio. The countries that made up the former Soviet Union not only had stockpiles of weapons to trade, but they also had there own arms industries, no hard currency, and no regulation. Our soldiers die every day due to these weapons. As your yesterday has affected your today, so too will your today affect your tomorrow. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just did not want any one to think that I am inexperienced with weapons, and am affraid of something that I do not understand. These opinions have been formed through pain, which tends to be the most effective on the human psyche. Last edited on Mon May 29th, 2006 09:37 am by e.avery |

:shock:I've said it before...........and I'll say it again.................. "NICE FIREARMS!!!!" :D:D It is also refreshing to get comments from a REAL authority as opposed to some wannabe aspiring to impress the flock. :dude:CHEEPS VOTE FOR NOIPSCPHAKECLAMES e.avery wrote: The small arms trade affects tens of millions of people everyday. Being able to shoot well is the hardest and most focusing thing I have ever done, period. The BS stops when the trigger is squeezed. Funny story no shit, I trained my self in a field to shoot. With a 45 set up and firing defense loads. Thinking what the hell is wrong with me, I got broses on my hands, and I just could not take the punishment of 6 to 8 hundred rounds. Then got a Kimber LPT II with liter springs and comp. loads and thought this is not that bad (dumb a@#). |

When I had my FFL I bought 24 Makarov 9x18 autos made in Germany for $50 a piece. This was still in a time when this pistol was rare and most owners had Chinese models brought back from Nam. It was mystery gun for decades. I did not have any fast paced agenda for selling them, and I have found the gun to be an excellent shooting pistol for the under $100 range. Hard to believe that many Eastern European countries still issue it as a primary police weapon. This outfit is about 8 miles from my mountain "Retreat" ! http://www.makarov.com/ Here is a brief history lesson the Makarov for anyone desiring a inexpensive auto firing something close to .380 http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg21-e.htm I gave up golf in 1985 and have always found that going to the gun range and firing off a couple of hundred rounds is the most stress relieving activity I engage in. I just need to discover some way to clean my weapons without all the friggin work! Unfortunately, my compulsion to "collect" things has made the gun hobby as equally expensive as this freekin watch/WIS addiction! Shoot em' if you got em"!:P :dude:CHEEPS VOTE FOR SHUTNASHOTGUNINDORZ? |

Cheeps how long is a 380? I think a 9mm is 19mm. Got a Kel-Tec 380 cheep (no pun intended) at an auction last year. Have never shot it. I never learned to shoot pistals all that good in the Army, I mainly shot rifles. The MP5 and Mark 23 were after my tour. Last edited on Tue May 30th, 2006 08:14 pm by e.avery |
