My birthday is in Oct. Today I got a card from Flop with a $10 off promotional code. It says "Michael, to celebrate your October birthday we would like you to enjoy $10 off."

I decided to use it to buy my brother another watch. When I tried to use it I was told it was not recognized. I then called the order line. When I placed the order with the operator she said the code was not valid. Now I'm online with the customer service line (15 mins.) Who knows it they will let me use it.

After waiting over 15 mins I finally get someone on the phone. Unfortunately she answered right as I was stuffing my face with a bite of lunch. I asked her to wait one sec. She said "OK." I took the phone away from my mouth. When I returned to the phone she had hung up!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was so rude. I had to wait 15 mins why couldn't she wait 15 seconds? Anyway, when I called back I was told the watch I was buying was already a clearance watch that had been reduced so I could not use the $10 off. OK, I guess that is fair. I did not appreciate the hassle it took for me to find this info out, nor did I appreciate being hung up on! lol

It was a Croton automatic for $99. I'm going to give it to my brother for Christmas. I bought him the Invicta LE Carbon Fiber Diver last year, as well as a Seiko BM and now he wants more. lol

I originally wrote my message because I was stunned that I couldn't use the code at checkout, and what happened after that. I called to order by phone where the operator told me it was invalid but she didn't know why. To make me more crazy she told me to call CS which is at a different number! I'm starting to lose it now.  Serenity Now, Serenit Now!!! I asked her if she could just switch me over but she couldn't so I had to dial another number and go through the menu thing, then wait for 15 mins. When I finally get through to CS only to have the woman hang  up on me, I was losing it. lol lol

I do understand why they wouldn't let me have the incredible $10 discount, though.

I think CS and the order operators should be on the same number, and all of them should be on the same page about these coupons.
