Last weekend my youngest son flew to Arkansas to do some fishing with his aunt, uncle and cousins.  Knowing he was a diehard Gator fan, they subjected him afterwards to the humiliation of attending a Razorback game.  Oh the humanity...

...and the ultimate humiliation...

Fortunately, he's a good sport - and had a great time (but he brought me back a Razorback coffee cup... gulp) subtlelaugh.gif

Imagine how I felt sitting through the Florida v. Auburn game with my cousin wearing a USF shirt and then through the Auburn v. LSU game with a buddy wearing an Alabama shirt. I feel your son's pain! He should have done what I do when these folks around here start talkin smack, pull out my national champ t-shirts and ask when the last time they had one wasyourock.gifyourock.gif

Hah... he had a few Gator championship t-shirts with him - but they confiscated them in at the Arkansas border...

We've all wondered how the school colors were chosen. Here's the scoop...

Some Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, and Alabama fans decided that black and white school colors were a bit too dull.
So they called upon God to give them colors that would truly represent them.
First, the Tennessee fans stepped before God and asked for their school's colors. God said, "When I see Tennessee, I see a great big orange sun coming up over puffy white clouds. Tennessee will be orange and white."
Next, the Georgia fans stood before God and asked for their colors. God said, "I see a field of fertile black soil...from which will grow a beautiful field of red roses. Georgia will be black and red."
The Auburn fans were next. God said as he patted his favorite sons on the head, "When I think of my beautiful Auburn, I see a glorious sky of blue with the bright orange sun shining down on my favorite town. You, my loved ones, your colors are orange and blue."
God then turned to the Alabama fans and said quite hastily, "Your colors are crimson and white." Later, after the fans had left, St. Peter came to God and said, "Lord, as you handed out each fan's school's colors you explained their origin, all but the Alabama fans. I'm curious. Why crimson and white? What do you see when you think of Tuscaloosa?"
"I see the same thing you see," God said, "white trash and rednecks".

My favorite:

How do you keep an Auburn player out of your front yard?

Put a goalpost in it.  :D

The s.e.c. is the only conference in thewoohoo.gif N.C.A.A. I'm a Dawg through and through, but I respect any and all of the s.e.c. programs. As of last week I will not toss any stones toward the Gator's, but I thought about it. Just kidding, we were bound to win one sooner or later. Great game...

It was a great game...Tebow's shoulder injury hindered the Gator's, especially on some needed 3rd down situations, but there was no excuse for the Gator defense.  That said, the Bulldog offense was simply awesome!

SEC...Simply Exciting Competition!!!   Even Vandy can be a huge spoiler!

I'm a little late to this topic, but what about Kentucky this year. I think that is the only team that has truly surprised us all this year!!

No SEC Team ever surprises me, other than Vandy, and even they can be a spoiler....and that is the strength and the beauty of the SEC!
