so i'm contemplating the purchase of a watch like martin's military style:![]() but i'm not a big fan of that style of band. i prefer more traditional ones, like these: ![]() ![]() does anyone have specific recommendations? i got those images from westcoastime.com but i'm not wedded to them. thanks. mark |

You can go many directions with that type of watch. You can go with that type of strap, leather, kevlar, rubber and bracelet if you find one that fits well. Go with what you think will feel and fit the need best for you. ;) |

gotcha! what i meant to say is that the only type of strap i'm interested in is a more traditional nylon strap (or perhaps kevlar?) like those shown in the two smaller pics, as opposed to those in the orsa shots above. has anyone bought any of the nylon-style bands from the smaller pics and been happy with the product? |

If you like that look check out sailcloth straps too. Very nice look, light weight, comfortable and long lasting. Kevlar is sweet but is stuff to begin with but is very durable. The MarTec style straps like you have there are very nice too. Quick and easy to install and wear. Nylon straps are not to bad either and very affordable. |

Here's a very inexpensive alternative which I think might look great on the Orsa-Mil. Found at the WatchPrince... don't forget the 3T discount!:D Shown on the O&W:![]() I went with leather on mine... ![]() |

The "Kevlar Style" on the O&W can be found here: http://www.thewatchprince.com/s.nl/it.A/id.673/.f?sc=8&category=904 and the other is a Hirsch. Sorry to say I can't remember which model... |
