What do you guys think about the pictured combo of an ammo strap and the Csar?  I didn't necessarily get the strap for this watch, but I tried it on and thought it looked pretty good despite the buckle (sewn in) not being PVD.  I really do like this combo but want to see what other think.  Honest opinions please.:)

I like that black and tan look, a good alternative to the stealth look.hand6.gif

Honest opinion? I'd say a dark brown calf leather strap 5mm to 5.5mm thick with big, bold black stitches. I think that would make you feel like you were in the cockpit of the Spitfires back in the day. Buckle? Must be same PVD as the case. Just my opinion:D

The strap looks good on the watch.  Can a sewn in strap be cut-off and replaced with screw-in? I don't know actually but, if so I'd consider doing that and popping in a PVD to complete the look if you're sure you want that combo to stick.

Thanks for your thoughts.  Although I really do like this ammo strap on the Debaufre, I couldn't help myself and ordered a custom Red 12 copperhead (orange/tan) strap specifically for this watch.  I'll be putting the PVD Debaufre buckle on that strap so it should really complete the look.

The ammo strap will probably find its way onto the Benarus Magalodon once that's ready, or a Panerai if I could ever afford one someday. LOL!

NICE........I am usually not one to mix the tan/brown with a black watch but that does look good.
