So I received a couple new straps for the Anonimo Militare from Rich at Toshi straps...a matte black (w/ natural stitch) which is a safe and no-brainer match for the Militare, and a terracotta leather (w/ black stitch) which is something a bit more unique.  I will say that Rich really understands the fit to Anonimos very, very well as he ownes several himself...These Militare straps are toleranced perfectly, fit the Militare like a glove, and at 5mm thick are much thicker than the OEM (which is a very good thing IMO!!!)thumbsup.gif...The Militare wears more comfortably, and looks better on these straps IMO.  (Granted, they are not waterproof like the Kodiak leather and the standard Dinex fabric (Lorica lined) strap that came on this Militare "last edition".

Both are 22/22mm (non-tapered) straps which I really prefer over the OEM tapered straps that typically come on Anomimos that have a 22mm lug spacing.

I'm wearing it on the terracotta leather to start...still trying to decide if the orange-ish undertones in the terracota leather are clashing too much with the red dial marker highlights (What do you guys think?)...I can take your honest opinion...good or bad.

A few pics...

Chris, absolutely nothing wrong with those straps and mix and match color combos. The black will give the watch some seriousness while the terracota some spunk and grit.

I wouldn't mind wearing the terracota to clash with my clothes or suits as that's what they're really meant to to...IMHO.

Congrats on the choices. Are you on the prowl for sme pig buckles? Might look good.

Jeff, Skipdawg, and William...Thank you guys for the kind words on the straps!!!thankyou.gif    I'm really liking them on the Militare.

Jeff - That pig buckle idea is a great one...would look very cool...thumbsup.gif, but I'm used to seeing the pig buckles in the 24mm size only.  If you have a source for pig buckles in the 22mm size, please do tell.

I think the Terracotta looks great with the dial.ThumbsUp02.gif  On my monitor, at least, the colors look pretty close between the strap and the numbers.

I have a Toshi strap on order and I'm looking forward to it.  By all accounts Rich does stellar work.

You're most welcome, Chris.

I've been searching for 22mm pigs but they only come in 24mm. I had wanted the 22mm for my Frankentuna to complete the look but I was told by the supplier it wil expensive to make as I seem to one of the few searching for it.

Don't worry. As soon as I see one, I'll holler, OK?thumbsup.gif

Love tan and brown straps on black dials...just out of curiosity, what kind of pin/screw is holding that strap on?

Thanks for the continued kind words on the new straps GX, Jeff, and Ken...thankyou.gif

GX - no doubt, you will absolutely love your incoming strap from Rich.

Jeff - Thanks for keeping me in mind relative to 22mm pig buckles...If I run across anything, I will be sure to let you know too!

Ken - So the top lug is the screw bar type, the bottom lug (the crown side lug at 6 o'clock), holds the strap via a solid, beefy pin that is very tightly toleranced to the through hole in the crown mechanism.  The pin has a non-symmetric recess to receive the set screw (you can see the set screw from my top views included in this post).  While it is a very unique crown/lug configuration, I have to say that the setup is very stable with no play whatsoever.  I have zero concern that the strap could let go with this configuration.
