This question is for any one that lives in the U.S. particularly Southern Calif. Anyone that has ordered a watch through Gnomon. The shipping process said it is through SPEEDPOST I have never heard of them or saw their trucks anywhere, do they actually deliver here in the U.S. or do they turn the merchandise over to the USPS or UPS or DHL for delivery. Status said it was handed over to the airline and it stops there anyone with knowledge/process of how shipping works. Thanks BK ![]() |

"Speedpost" is a courier service offered by the Singapore Post Office. They also have a "tracking" system for customers, senders and receivers, to track the whereabouts of their packages - similar to that offered by Fedex, UPS, etc and the packages are delivered by the destination Post Office. I find them reliable as I have received packages sent by them. Do check out their website : http://www.speedpost.com.sg Hope this helps and eases your mind. |

Thanx P862, I had never heard of them before, usually, it's a Fedex or DHL truck that stops at my house. I guess I will have to check their site for an update. |

Bonekrusher - agree..."Speedpost" is a service offered by the Singapore post office. I have always found that your package will be delivered to you in the US by the US Postal Service (and I have had many delivered). also...service from Gnomon is always first rate and very quick!!! |

Stew77 When you say the US Postal Service delivers, do you mean they knock on your door like UPS to have you sign for it, or they just put it in your mailbox or on your front porch. BK |

Generally, if the sender paid for insurance, the receiver has to sign for the package. Also, if the person is not at home to sign for the package the post person will leave a pickup slip at the residence. Then you need to go to your post office to pick it up. |

I just checked status, it said it was being held by customs, I hope the update is just lagging behind its real status, I hate this type of thing.mad.gif |

For a moment, Bonekrusher, I thought I was seeing a reflection of myself. Don't worry mate. Its just some random checks. There has been much delay for shipments to the USA due to the recent bomb scare in the post. Sincerely Dievas Watch Company |

Ok I am not that bad, the avatar I chose obviously has anger issues, I am a little bit more mellow than he is. I have had this happen once before and it takes several days to resolve and then it shows up, sometimes with strange fingerprints. Anyway I guess I have no other choice but to wait. ![]() Last edited on Thu Dec 9th, 2010 10:01 pm by Bonekrusher |

From Japan, it's usually EMS. They are very, very fast too and very reliable. |

They tried to deliver today, I was not home, so I will pick it up from the post office tomorrow. The funny thing is the transit company still shows it in route so I guess you cant trust shipping documents. |

I don't know how to close a topic, but I guess this one can be closed. I just returned from the Post Office where I picked up my Vintage 3646 with S/S back as requested. I plan to have some engraving done. So now it will take its place next to the Vortex I picked up earlier this week. I guess it does not get better than this. Thanks Anders. ![]() |
