I just received in the mail a sample of the GMT case, it is really fantastic. a great size that fits my 6.5in wrist perfectly, and very comfortable. I have tested both rubber straps and they both fit me, but the larger strap (B) has a lot of strap left over... this is a good strap for the larger wrists, but a smaller wrist can get away with either size. I have also photographed it next to my Marathon GSAR to show the greater size of the Benarus GMT. I did not get a sample of the Mesh bracelet yet.

I will post more photos of the case soon.

VERY COOL!!!woohoo.gifJOB WELL DONE!!

I like the first strap but the second strap just does not cut it....sorry. The design does not flow very well and it seems to distract from the watch.  I hope the first strap can fit a 7.5 wrist.

Maybe you can change the second strap design????Thumbsup3.gif

This is looking to be another goodie. Hard to tell without the innards, but as far as case size, this is definitely a winner. Cannot wait to see what the mesh bracelet wil look like. Thanks for the update Steve!

Ummm... The steel case is the same size as the PVD, and if you had been following you would know it will be an additional add on for those who want one. Those who are still on the fence, you better jump on it while the getting is good.

Prefer strap A. Would like to see the steel case. Any word on timing of the automatic movt? Is a mesh bracelet planned for the GMT?

I don't have a steel case yet, but Ralf has the bead blasted one. The automatic will come after we secure the 100 movements and get a completion time from the factory, these things can take unexplainable time. yes the mesh will be available on the automatic as well.

Hey Steve... Will we see the Benarus logo on the crown, or is it too small?

I love that strap B - in fact, I'm a bit sorry to admit, it's the one I picked out for our new Model Q, as well!

Looks Fantastic thus far... Steve is the bezel goofy for some reason or are you hiding it for a surprise later?

this is just a sample from the factory making the case, it has generic sterile parts in it (dial, hands, bezel, movement). we don't have our dials complete yet, or the bezel, so this case doesn't have the right parts in it. so I didn't want to confuse anyone, although you can kind of see the bezel.

I will show the real sample when it is complete.

It is made by the Italian company that makes NBR natural "Vanilla Smelling" Rubber. it is not a Benarus design, but it is a superior material to Silicone rubber, and we have had a heck of a time finding more than 1 manufacturer and no luck finding anyone to make our own custom molds... not yet, still searching. Darkman you should use it with your design, like I said, it is not our creation. -steve

Strap A measures 7 inches on the inside when I put the tang in the middle hole. I would go with strap B if you are above 7. Here is a pic of the inside of Strap A, it has a nice texture.

Wow, the PVD case makes you want one. I like the way this is looking; though I am not sure if I want the quartz or the automatic. Ah, the things that I need to think about.:shock:cat28.gif

Wow, the case is awesome to look at and I prefer strap 'A" with it.  I can't wait to see how this version comes along because it's off to a great start.  hand6.gifhand6.gif

Looks great!  I've recently developed a real appreciation for PVD.  I would opt for strap A.

Strap A would be my choice too but I like the holes and buckle combo in Strap B, so Strap A with the buckles and holes from Strap B would be the winner for me
