I really like wearing the Megalodon on a zulu strap, it is comfortable and I like the way it looks. It also cuts some of the weight and can be held securely on my wrist without the watch sliding around.

i like wearing my mega 2 on a zulu also. megalodon you want to get a 24mm zulu. that's the width of the lugs. like steve said it does cut down the weight of the watch.

That looks really good, I love the ZULU bands and use them exclusively, but I thought they would look to small on the Meg. Now all I need is a wrist compass that will fit a 24mm band. Thanks for the pics.

Well I just bought two 24mm ZULU 5 ring straps, one Lt brown and one OD green. Now I just need the compass to complete my next deployment kit. I'll post pics when I get back over. I'll be home in a few weeks and get to play with the Meg, then back here in Nov. Later. Mike

Steve, how big is your wrist, I am toying with grabing one of the last ones, but have worried it is too big for my wrist.

I currently have a JLC Master Compressor 46.3mm, which is pretty big for me. I don't know that I could pull off a watch that wears much bigger.

You can also try the Natos. They also come in 24mm and the "extreme" versions are slightly thicker and with bigger weaves. The rings can also come in PVD for a better overall look to black/PVD watches.ThumbsUp02.gif

Where would I look for the NATO bands, do they make them in 5 ring.

Found them, the extreem seems to be the 5 ring ZULU.

anyone know where I can find a 24mm wrist compass.

I'm out of here today and going home to a bunch of Benarus watches, I can't wait.

You can visit http://www.gnomonwatches.com or http://www.westcoastime.com. I think the Natos come in simple hardware and have just the traditional rings. For 24mm compasses, try http://www.cabela.com or any large outdoor shop. I know some military surplus stores carry olive drab watchband compasses similar to the old and vintage "L" shaped torches/flashlights. My compasses are only in black and just fit 22mm bands/straps.

For your line of work, however, I'm not sure the rather flimsy rubber sleeves at the back of the compass can take all that punishment. But if your camo sleeves cover the watch and compass, I guess they'd both get some protection.

Hope this helps.ThumbsUp02.gif
