I am getting set up to do bead blasting here at Benarus HQ to better serve our customers with refinishing, buckle and bracelet blasting, or anything else you might want me to blast. I ordered fine glass beads for the media and they should arrive next week.

Steve,

Would you take the watch apart and bead blast the pieces separately?  How will you protect the crystal?  Would you remove the bezel(and blast it separately) to eliminate any chances of bead blasting the crystal?

Brice, let me practice first, I have some watches and parts to experiment with, but if you want a Doxa blasted now I can point you to the right man for the job, he is helping me get set up and answering all my questions, just send me an email or a PM if you want the contact. He is the best I know for custom work and blasting, he blasted an old Tag Heuer of mine and it is flawless.

Steve,

I have a satin brushed steel watch.  Will you polish it first before blasting or would it make a difference whether the original is polished or brushed.  Will we see the "brushed lines" after bead blasting?

Thanks

blasting will remove brushed lines, it will not fix dents, but will remove scratches.

I will experiment with blasting brushed and polished, and even blasted parts, I will blast the blasted parts to see if my beads change the brightness of the finish.

I need to wait for the glass beads to arrive, to do my own testing before I know the answers to the questions. I will post photos of the parts I blast.
