As the immortal Tommy Boy once said, "Holy schnikes!"  What a beautiful hunk of titanium.  I love the chronograph options, but the size and the price are both way out of my range. The way I see it though, these pieces only add more prestige to the Benarus brand.  Great job guys.

Only 70 total pieces will be made. We are looking at rubber and leather strap options. Titanium can be brushed or blasted.

Perfect!!!snoopy1.gif

I have been waiting for this one to be announced!!!!!

Everything is absolutely killer here for both the 3-Hand and Chrono model...I am definitely going to snatch up a 3-Hander though...love the dimensions here, and in Titanium it's going to be sweet on the wrist!!!

Awesome job Steve...the renderings look fantastic!!!thumbsup.gif

Wow! Steve you've outdone yourself! I bet the grey dial will be stunning!! Id be interested in a 3-hander... though I know you have a new Bronze MOray in the plans too so that may take precedent... too many awesome benarus watchesno.gif!! you're killing me Steve!mistake.gif

2894 is a great mvt, isn't it the same one Doxa used on the Tgraph?

Yes I believe Doxa uses it as well as Bell&Ross BR01-92 chrono and other high end mechanical chronographs. It is an expensive movement as you can see, but we will be making less than 20 chronographs and have tried to price them the best we can.

yes the price is right indeed! and you make awesome watch, so folks should feel confident they are getting a top watch for their #$!!!
I've been more focused on 3 handers, less on chronos the past couple of years but this one is a beauty! and very tempting! :) I do want a Bronze Moray bad though... I may have to get a second job to affordx all the beauties you and Ralph are putting out!

Cool, yes I have been wanting to make a bezel like this for a while. I am leaning towards a brushed chrono with bezel marks, and a blasted 3 hand without them.

Beautiful watches, Steve... I'm thinking... I NEVER use a stopwatch, so stopped buying them...and 47mm is silly big for me, especially with a small movement... But they do look lovely!

Now if the 3 hand had a dart dial...dog smile.gif

Aaaaaaahhh!!!oh my.gif
I realize that since I wear 45mm Morays, that 47mm can't be that much bigger... AND then I see that there's a Moray II black dart on one of the forums...but it has the orange minute hand, which I don't care for... And you're making more Moray darts soon... And I already have xxxxx watches...can only wear one at a time without looking like a geek...
AAAAAHHHHH!!!sponge bob.gif
Ok...I'll take a model A, please, Steve...

The Moray 3's look good! They are however a bit too big for me at 47mm. If it was the same size as before, Titanium, and with sandwich dial, I would have a hard time resisting! (Hint hint...Moray 4??)

The 2893 is a good movement if people know how to use it. It can be troublesome and easily messed up if people don't know how to set it or use it. I have had too many problems with customers messing up the movement by not setting it correctly.

We have made this watch for people who have requested 47mm, and for my own interest. We also made the Remora for those who asked for 42mm, and we still have some available on our website if 42mm is a better size for you.

also the Moray 3 will still be 44mm. This new 47mm is a special small edition for those that have asked for it.

I see, so this isn't Moray 3.  Has a Moray 3 been announced?  I guess I haven't been paying much attention.

Anyway, whatever the number, I would find a future 44mm Moray with sandwich dial be difficult to resist.

Moray 3 in 44mm has not been announced, we are still working on some details, but there will also be a bronze edition in 44mm with the same dials as the steel version.

the Ti47 will be a awesome watch in both movements but I have been waiting for a nice large dive chrono, specifically using the eta 2894, at a fair price for awhile now and this one hits the mark perfect in all categories imo...I also like the plain bezel option which leaves it open for custom engraving....maybe Steve&Ralf will offer both bezels if requested ?ThumbsUp02.gif

That's kinda what I'm hoping for... maybe they will produce a few extras of each for us who would like to change them out every once in a while!

Now if I could only decide between B or C, I could go ahead & place my name on the reservation list.

I am liking the gray dial! Can anyone offer some insight on brushed vs blasted? Being Ti these are going to show some scars as my Pam 25 has over the years so what finish would you think would show the least wear and tear? I am really worried about the smooth/clean bezel showing scars.

Devin much like brushed SS the brushed Ti will be easier to care for in the long run vs blasted and both SS and Ti can be refinished to like new condition if necessary ...all of my Ti watches are blasted so I look forward to the brushed being offered on the Ti47...ThumbsUp02.gif

Blasted titanium appears darker than blasted steel. We offer brushed or blasted on this titanium model. I need to make that note on the webpage.

Trent...I agree with Oscar's comment above about the Brushed being much easier to care for in the long run as far as scratches go.  I'm going Brushed, but I'm tempted to order a Blasted too!!!mistake.gif ....must resist...must resist...subtlelaugh.gif

...and as Steve is pointing out the Blasted Ti is going to be much darker in color than a Blasted ss finish typically is.  Steve, and I had been trading some emails when I placed the order for mine, and he brought up an interesting point about the dark Blasted Ti and smooth bezel sort of being similar (in theme at least...because I think the Benarus pieces all stand on their own very well...inspired, but not a homage to a specific model) to what one sees in some of the various Ennebi Fondale pieces out there.  Got me thinking along those lines anyway...

Most may not care about the caseback, but I hope it going to be a nice as the front. I would like to see a caseback that fit the size of the watch, and not a small case back that's size of the movement used. A small acaseback just doesn't look good to me, fill it out to the size of the 47mm case.

Just my 2 cents

all the watches I have seen have casebacks that span the size of the case regardless of size...

I don't have any picture, of a watch with a small caseback. I've only seen a picture of one and it looked odd. I have two benarus now,moray1 and a meg1. Both are great, and couldn't be happier.

I'm just like everyone else who ordered moray 47Ti, can't wait to hand it in my hands.

I don't think we have to worry about the caseback, the watch is 18mm thick (on the 3 Hand) and I'm sure a good chunk of that is the caseback to be able to handle the 2000M WR.

Steve,

Is there any chance you will offer a dart dial 47mm? I love the look of the new watch but really miss the dart dial option. It looked so good on that case shape.

For that matter, If I ordered one, is there a way that for an additional cost you could do a dart dial?

Thanks,
J.

Thanks to everyone who has reserved a Ti47. The reservation list is now closed. We will not be taking names on a backup list. When we have cancellations on the list we will sell those watches on our website after the reservations have all shipped.

Originally we were thinking of producing 50 of the 3 hand and 20 chronos. Ralf and I have decided to produce 30 of the 3 hands and 10 chronos. This will allow us to be able to develop another design this year that will also be a very limited production.

I am really excited and looking forward to this Ti47. Any details, info, photos, samples will be shared here on 3T in the future.
