Very cool looking in bronze with the rubber strap.

Now I wonder what this new steel watch is that Steve is working on . . .

Without the bracelet, I would expect that a Bronze Megalodon might come in around or under $1700 (wishful thinking says it may be possible in the $1500-$1600 range).

Of course, I caveat my comments completely with the fact that watch companies are not charities...everyone has to eat afterall.subtlelaugh.gif

Could even trade movement costs against the higher price to source and machine CuSn8 Bronze...(I wouldn't sneeze at the Miyota 9015, but some prefer a swiss ETA...)?

OK, so let's say $1700. with eta, since there is not much difference in price between an eta and a 9015...now who would be willing to pay $1700. with a non-refundable deposit,of say $500., just for the sake of seeing, and there needs to be at least 30 interested in order to even put a bronze Meg into production somewhere in the future...like next year.

So when Steve sets the parameters of cost for a Bronze Meg, I am sure the hard core collectors will bite. As long as he keep the range at 20 or 30 watches. Look at the Ti47 chrono, 2300.00 and they sold. Keep them coming Steve.

Sounds good Oscar! I would be IN for a deposit at that price point (although I would like to see it closer to the wishful thinking $1500-$1600 range mentioned).

Anyone else? ...come on...I think we could get 30 reservations!!!

I'm with you Chris...a big bronze Meg would be outstanding!....and knowing how much Steve & Ralf like to accommodate, this could become a reality...chickendance.gif

Personally, I would die over a phantom Meg - complete blackness! The most menacing watch to ever swim the oceans. And, getting a bit carried away here, imagine if you could sort out trademark / licensing issues and have a Darth Vader helmet at 12 or the bezel pip with luminous eyes. I'll go back in my box now...

And in aid of those who do not live in fantasy land - like i clearly do - i would put a deposit of $500 for a bronze Meg. And i would be willing to pay around $2k for it, but probably not much more.

Check it out, I put together a quick mockup to see what a bronze meg might look like, looks great in my opinion:

This does look good. Maybe a gold edition so my dad would wear one of my watches! a Diamond in the bezel pip, set on its side!

One probable solution to a heavy watch caused by a heavy bracelet is to go bronze mesh....if it can be feasibly made. Discoloration to the wearer's wrist from reaction to perspiration might be minimized by the mesh.
