Hey all. Greetings from Eastern Washington, where it doesn't rain nearly as much as everything thinks it ought to. I like watches. I own several. Apparently I meet the criteria for a WIS. I'm still not sure what the point of this forum is other than comfortably wealthy men showing off the things that they buy. But hey, that's what the internet is all about. Day-to-day a Casio G-shock DW5600E tells me what time to stop working and eat food. Evenings I try to communicate my affluence and sophistication to the opposite sex by wearing various sport and dress watches. While I admire and lust after true-blue swiss/german/japanese timepieces, I'm not too proud to strap on a good-looking fashion timepiece that matches my tie. I pay for my various habits and vices by building cabinets and more specifically, running a finishing shop that applies color and sheen to numerous pieces of precisely machined wood. I also collect vacuum tube and vintage sand-powered audio gear, 80's ricer car parts, guitars, skis, and scuba stuff. Once in a great while I remove myself from the internet and actually go outside and use these various objects that I have accumulated. Cheers Ike

Warmest Welcome to 3T, Ikehand6.gif. To each his own.....some people with some disposable funds tend to collect stuff as a means to an end. In our case, it's pure enjoyment of precision and miniature equipment strapped on the wrist. I appreciate your situation totally and can say we have something in common Anyway, welcome again and post often!

Greetings from another resident of the Evergreen State! From the more "humid" side, however. :)

Welcome to 3T Ikehand6.gif Why you're here is not important, the important thing is, that you are here :D So yes, yo have to be a WIS to register to a Forum where most members know themselves by their wrist that they proudly show on a day to day basis! Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay here, and since you seem knowledgeable about watches (I read some of your posts) I hope you will be an active member that will share his experience...

Welcome and enjoy. You'll soon find out what the purpose of this forum is.................... It is run by a conspiracy of watch manufacturers who put out the bait for WIS to take without regard for the consequences.....................or is it? Stick around and find out..............;)
