This is my first post - I must admit I got a bit intimidated by the incredible watches and the superlative photography skills present in this forum!

I favor the reasonably-priced divers. So far, I have been concentrating on the Seiko brand, plus a couple of Orients.

The Blue Mako is currently getting the most wrist-time.

I'm eager to learn how you guys take those awesome pictures - and I'll see what I can apply to my point-and-shoot relic of a camera!

When I look at your watches - I have to keep mopping up drool from the keyboard. Amazing pictures, amazing watches!

Ron

Hello Ron, do not feel imtimidated by other watches Orient are a great make and I have 2 myself.
As for pictures its practice but I use an A3 pad open so it is white on the bottom and back. I also use daylight as its a great for good shots. Now other here are way better than I and put more time into it and have picture boxes with good lighting etc.
Depends how far you want to go but at any level you will get all the help we can give you here.
I also edit my pictures in a free program call paint.net its a bit like photoshop but open source, really good IMHO.

Anyway welcome!!

Hi Ron and a warm welcome to 3-T.
Orient is an underrated Japanese watch company
that ranks up there with Seiko and Citizen.

If I may add....Orient makes more automatics than even the king of Japanese watches, Seikothumbsup.gif.

Glad you broke the ice and posted a picture of that watch.

I have the same one. The blue dial is fantastic!

I agree, Tommy. The blue looks flat in low light - then suddenly comes alive in bright sunlight. It's fascinating, trying to capture the different arcs of light that play on the dial!

It's mesmerizing. I once went through a red light because I kept on looking at it. I don't drive with the Blue Mako anymore!
