Hello All: Just a quick note to introduce myself. I am a 50 yo newbie WIS having only been involved in the hobby for about a year. I have always admired watches on others arms but finally realized I could admire them on my own arm as well. My wife is very nervous, saying that I am a compulsive collector. She cites my 100+ collection of vintage Zippo lighters all with different beer advertising and my extensive collection of 50's & 60's baseball cards as examples. She might be right, as my humble collection has already exceeded 2 dozen pieces. But she is actually to blame as she bought me my first real watch (Tag Carrera CV2050) for my 50th birthday while we were in Vegas. I happened onto this site when Johnny P pointed me here on my grail quest, and I was able to convince someone here that they didn't need two Dievas Flieger Timer's. Thanks to Johnny P and Oscar, I realized my first grail quest and am now the proud owner of #49/50. Everyone here seems like a close knit group of WIS. I hope to become a part of the group and to learn so much more about my latest hobby. Thanks in advance for allowing me to usurp your knowledge, and maybe a watch or two. ;) Alan |
