Goodevening everybody,

I just joined this forum, so the least thing I can do is properly introduce myself.

My name is Eric, 48 years, live in the Netherlands, married, 4 kids (7,9,12 and 14 years), 2 dogs, manager in telecom industry..............and addicted to watches!

As long as I can remember I have always been intrigued by the mechanical side of a watch (quartz, automatic or handwinding). So at a certain point I build a collection of over 40 pieces and then..........I got married and became a parent. Funny how things then start to shift towards more grown up stuff. So I sold almost everything I had with the exception of a '62 Omega Seamaster my father gave me for my 18th birthday.

But after some years the terrible itch was there again, so I started buying watches again: Seamaster GMT 50th Years Anniversary, Omega 2254.50, Omega 2264.50, Zinex Nitrox LE, Longines Hydroconquest Chrono, Meistersinger AM507, Citizen Ecozilla, several modded Monsters, Glycine Lagunare 1000ft, Glycine Big 9 Chrono, Oris TT1 Diver, Oris Meistertaucher Regulator etc.

Not all at the same time........but I'm quite a flipper when it comes to watchesmad.gif

Some years ago I came to the conclusion that it's not about the brand or price, but all about looks. So I kept some, flipped many and bought what I liked no matter what brand or price. Accidentally I came across the "boutique brands" and for now they seem to do it for me: Steinhart, Boschett, Halios, Artego etc.

So now I have a small collection of watches I actually wear in rotation as frequently as possible, I switch during the day, depending on occassion. And I'm a happy man..........my wife however......she probably just gave up one day. Now she even sents me a message whenever UPS shows up again with a package from some exotic place.

I am active on local watchsites like Horlogeforum.nl (which literally means Watchforum.nl) and internationally mainly on WUS where I have bought/traded/sold a lot of watches and other watch related items. I hope I will be able to shift some of my energy to this forum however.......

So looking forward getting to know all (well, most) of you, enjoy your Sunday!

Regards,
Eric

Welkom Eric! This is a really friendly and useful company of people you came to. I can relate to your mentioning the shift of priorities when family comes. Wishing you all the best. Beste wensen van een Utrechtenaar uit Griekenland. Dimitrios.

Have a very warm welcome to 3T Mr. Eric!

I'm so glad to see we have some things in common! I myself work in a Telecom company, this job allowed me to work in Luxembourg last year were several of my dreams came true! I've always loved everything about The Netherlands and on this trip I went to Amsterdam twice, once to see Ajax play (Ajax being my favorite team in the world) and another with my wife a tourists... All I can say is this: Your country is marvelous!!!!! thumbsup.gif

Please post often and most important, include plenty of images in every post!!!!!

Aha, now I understand. epezikpajoow stands for Eric Pezik Pajoow, Pezik Pajoow is my familyname and has it's origin in Indonesia. It means: as fast as a deer......

Hope this explains it,

Eric
