Okay, here is the big question Steve. ( I own about 10 MM's in varying styles) but the only problem I have with them, and maybe you got it resolved with Jeff the watch dude. is, Can you know Submerse them? I will still only use straight proven beaters on my dives. (see: Invicta, Seiko, Kronos) But I would LOVE to be able to at least dive in my pool with an MM on. Anyone else rectified this at all?

Jeff changes the gasket in the watch where the crown and stem enter, also the lever on mine is very tight now and so is the winding. I don't have a pressure tester here, but I think I will run a test this summer and use it for my pool watch and see what happens.

Thanks everyone, it is a lot of fun to do. I built a lot of military models as a kid, so this is fun and similar in a way. Here are the photos from the 1st mod, to show the process. ![]() dissasemble ![]() paint choices... Aircraft Grey, white, black, red ![]() carefully split sandwich dial for painting, use a razor ![]() hand paint the numbers under the dial ![]() spray hands, then hand paint the center flat black ![]() assemble ![]() ![]() ![]() ready to wear out for the evening!
