Dievas Avant Garde Prototype(AGP) is limited to 50 pieces worldwide. Each watch is individually engraved on the caseback with its unique serial number. Dievas AGP's case, crown, tube, lugs, screws and buckle is treated by Plasma Assisted Chemical Vapour Deposition(PACVD) with a special material called Diamond Like Carbon(DLC). This special treatment is done specially for Dievas by a German company who specialize in the treatment for Formula One cars. The PACVD-DLC treated Dievas AGP has a hardness of 2400 Vickers (ISO 14577) which is about 17 times the hardness of 316L stainless steel. PACVD-DLC is also highly resistant to chemical reaction. The domed sapphire crystal is anti-reflective coated. The crown system is also treated with PACVD-DLC. Low coefficient of friction properties of PACVD-DLC means the crown system will last longer. Dievas AGP is powered by a Swiss Made Unitas 6497 mechanical movement.... More info and pictures here: http://www.gnomonwatches.com/DievasAvantGardePrototypeAGP.html Sincerely Anders

Thank You Guys for your comments. We are very happy with the response of the Dievas AGP. Really very much worth the crazy amount of work and time we put into this watch.

Thank You everyone once again. We r very happy with the overall product. We started thinking about alternatives a while back and thought DLC was the best option for the time being. So we began contacting a different specialist coating firms to work on it. We found that not all DLC r the same, there is significant variations in colour, texture, durability, hardness etc2. Also we had to prep the watch be4 sending it for DLC, diff grains of beatblasting, polishing, satin brushing etc2 yield a totally outcome. All in all i reckon we went through about 10-15 cases be4 getting the right result we really wanted. We used state of the art technology to get it done and the the one we use is PACVD-DLC. All the time n money spent is still justifiable i guess, at least now we have a better idea of the treatment and use them in our upcoming dievas watches. I believe the price is still reasonable , we had to send the prepped cases to germany to get it done. wrapping and packing the screws, the lugs etc2. its a chore i tell u! Most of the cost went into prep work, watchmaking fees, freight and the DLC coating itself etc2. tbh, i think we made more selling the normal vintage pieces than the AGP. lol. The good thing is, the german coating firm is willing to listen n work together and they r one of the best in their field. they got a few new patented treatments, coating which we intend to find applicable uses for in our watches. Stay tuned guys!

Great job Anders! I wasn't really keen on the 2533's dial but the avant garde just nails it! Nice clean dial with a great looking bad axx case!

No plans for a right hand version at the moment. But we will think about it. Movement supply is tight atm. All the movements we have already been accounted for. Anyhow mate, right or left hand its pretty similar if you ask me. Since you have to wind and set the time before putting it on your wrist. Furthermore, I rekon a left hand crown adds to the overall uniqueness. Or............ you can always wear it the other way round so the crown is at 9. smile8.gif I wear the Dievas AGP on my left wrist as well without a problem. Regards Anders

You are right, Anders. No reason it can't be worn upside down!
