I have not been successful in finding a bracelet for my vintage Seamaster (the bracelet is way too short and wobbly). In the meantime, if I want to wear it, I’ll need a strap.

This strap will have to be custom made, with a “lug opening” of 18 mm, but a overall width (case side) of 25 mm. The strap will need to be thick also, to properly compliment the watch design. And, it will have to be fairly rigid at the end, so that the endpoints of the strap (not attached to the lugs) do not become creased and folded towards the exterior.

A bit hard to explain; please see the pic below for the particular “encased lug” design and what I mean by "custom".

Who can I go to? I see many sellers offering (fine) straps, sometimes imported or sourced from other companies, and sometimes custom built on their own; but who can ‘expertly’ modify or build a strap from scratch, at a reasonable cost (I don’t want the strap to be more expensive than the watch itself!).

Any suggestion is highly welcomed!

Help!

Ofrei.com sells replacement bracelets for Omega as do many vendors on the bay including leather straps which were not notched for that model, you may want to check themwatch2.gif ...as far as a leather mod that would be easy enough for you to do,just order a strap at the width of the bracelet nearest the case and cut it down yourself.Personally I would just fit a 20mm strap in place and it would look fine imho....hand6.gif
