Patiently waiting for the arrival of my Vortex this week, and I have literally been looking for bracelet options for the last month.

Aside from spending over $1K on a K****d bracelet (non an option for me), the lug screw bars seem to make options for this watch impossible.

1. It has to be titanium
2. It has to have straight end pieces with a gap between the case

Other than that, I'm open to all suggestions.

Since Fricker made the case, am I to assume that they also made the bracelet for the previously-mentioned watch of a similar design? Would they sell me one? Can Anders source one from Fricker?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We can make a bracelet for the Vortex. But only in Stainless Steel.

But ultimately, what is stopping us from making a whole new bracelet for the Voretx is the cost involved.

Unless we can get a firm confirmation that at least 100 customers wants it. That will cover at least half our cost.

Maybe we should start a bracelet Pre-Order? What do you guys think?

I am in as long as it is not too expensive, and matches the case relatively well.

Anders... would I be correct in assuming the bracelet finish will be bead blasted to match the case?

Thank You everyone for being so supportive.

This year we will have a couple more new models coming. But most of them in stainless steel. And we will like to use the same bracelet throughout the models for uniformity reasons.

But that means the bracelet will be in stainless steel for the Vortex as well. And of course beadblasted to match the finishing of the Vortex. What are your thoughts?

I like the idea....a matching SS bracelet would add a litle heft to it, offThumbsup3.gif -setting the light feel of the Ti case

I too could have started this thread. Would LOVE to have a K****D titanium bracelet for my Vortex. Stainless would just add more weight than I would be willing to tote on an everyday basis. Should i ever tire of the excellent black Dievas strap supplied, or Paul Jones ORB strap I added, I think the next step would be: http://oak.cats.ohiou.edu/~js101096/vortex/index.htm

(Hat tip to elemental)

I am intrigued by this (even though I think my Vortex looks great on leather). But how would the SS finish possibly match with the titanium case unless it is coated in titanium (and then would scratch off like coated titanium tends to do)? I personally find the SS Deivas buckle that comes with the Vortex to be an eyesore as it doesn't completely match the titanium case.

I'll be paying attention to this thread....

I know, I just received my Vortex (Thank you very much Anders!!) I bought it over the Memorial Day break and saved 10%. I actually bought two, one for me one for my future son-in-law (he paid for his). And I must say that even though I'm not a leather band person, this is a very nice leather band! But I'd probably like a metal bracelet for it as well. I have a couple of watchadoo bracelets, and they are very nice, very nicely made THICK metal bands. I may try one of those on my Vortex. Which I love btw, and the fact that my future son-in-law has the same watch just makes it that much better. Of course when I die, he's going to inherit quite a watch collection!

oagaspar, Who makes that mesh? Nice looking, but bet it weighs quite a lot.

Apache,
"1. It has to be titanium
2. It has to have straight end pieces with a gap between the case"

Its been hard to find both 1 and 2, hasn't it? I was wondering how the Trasers would fit and look on the vortex, they have a couple of titanium bracelets that they sell separately for the classic ($110)and the commander ($65), but don't care for the link design on the commander.

Since I recently acquired a boat anchor 2824 auto, (Stowa prodiver) I would like to keep the Vortex a featherweight. It may never wear a bracelet. heh.

Hello guys,

got my Vortex a few weeks ago and it hasn't been of my wrist ever since.

I would be interested in a good bracelet, provided they will not be too expensive. I can live with the leather strap though.

Cheers,

Michiel

If you want the gap-less looks. The next best is the Original James Bond strap with PVD hardware: Sincerely Anders

Count me in for a bracelet too, providing it has the same finish and is not too pricey. Anders has good taste-titanium would be nice, but I could live with SS.

I should receive my Benarus bead blasted mesh in a few days...Halvis here's the link to the bead blasted mesh;

http://www.benaruswatches.com/custom/index.php

.....but previously found a thread where a member place his SMG  bracelet on his Vortex….and man did "It Look Good!!!!"....

I immediately went on the sales board’s and did a search for one and the lowest price SMG ti bracelet was selling for $400.00 bucks.

If I had the extra coin….Boy would I be tempted (only because the Vortex is a keeper and ain't going no where cept on my wrist). I just don’t have that expendable income at the moment….bummer!!!!

It's all about timing ain't it.........: (

Lance

BTW, since I’m a heavy sweater (OK, perspirer’er (?)…LOL), I can get by using a strap during the cooler winter months here in AZ. But as soon as summer hits….I gotta go with a bracelet!!!

So, I guess.....I'm in if Mr Anders will come up with a "matching" bracelet for the Vortex as well....thumbsup.gif

Lance, if you perspire a lot, try a rubber strap that's just a bit looser on the wrist. You can also try out a rubber rally or Big 3. The holes on the strap allow more air in/out.ThumbsUp02.gif.

Another alternative is a James Bond nato or plain gray or plain black nato. A skunk zulu would also be good for the color of the Vortex case and dial. The light strap is perfect for summer making the watch feel even more wearable.

Thanks for the heads up on the straps!!!  I guess when I used the rubber strap during the summer, I may have had it, (as you've suggested)...on too tight.  In addition to the strap was the solid type without holes or openings on the sides to allow it to breath.

Thanks again and have a great day!!!!....or is it night where your at....LOL

Thanks for posting this photo of your bracelet….I personally like the 5 link (?) style bracelet myself….ThumbsUp02.gif

It seems, your photo skills are about on par as mine…LOL OK, Ok, just kidding....LOL

But, how close is the color of the metal to the ti’s on the Vortex???

I just got the mesh in the mail....and it's not too bad weight wise.  I don't have a scale, but I think it's wieghs just about as much as Ted Su's Dive Buckle...LOL

Color wise it's a shade lighter then the ti, but IMO it looks good and will definately do the trick.

Well at least till I secure the contract in CA.  Then I may bite the bullet and spring for a used (no way new...) SMG ti bracelet.

Good Luck and if you try out the Traser bracelet, please keep us in the loop and let us know how it went!!!!....ThumbsUp02.gif

Quelled my thirst for a bracelet with the amazing benarus bead blast mesh combo as sported by Oscar and many others. I'm quite pleased with the weight (lighter than expected) and the finish. Nice Combo:)

Yup, still have it!!!

I primaryly wear it during the summer months though.  Since it's cooler, I've been wearing it with Ted Su's Dive Buckle with Ted's origional softer dive strap material.

Btw, I got two Zulu's for it, but I just can't seem to connect with it...LOL

After reading this thread I scoured the forums and net. Found a guy in Canada who was selling his Vortex with a Ti band. Asked about the bracelet as I jut bought the watch, SN 85. He said if the buyer of his did not want it I could buy it. Well, I just PP it and now incoming. Looks like the Kobald in every way, guaranteed to fit and since it was on the watch I am sure of it
Long Island said it did not exist

Question: Can someone tell me how I can get more lug pins to install a band?
Found a Ti band, need pins to add a link. Might be a Kobold though so off to a forum. Noted the Seal band is a perfect fit.

OK
Got the titanium band today and it fit as if designed and machined for the watch. Little nibs on bottom just slid in. Got this for $255 from Brian in Galgary.
So far we do not now who made it or where it came from other than a WUS member. Looks like the band from a Kobald Seal though. Best guess
