:)Where's the best place to look for  a man's gold watch. I am undecided on dress or chrono?

Are you looking for solid gold?

Yes, I should have stated so. I've had many gold plated watches and they haven't held up well.

For dress watches, I'm partial to vintage.  For example, here's a solid 18K gold Zenith chrono from the 1950s:

or this 18K Longines from 1950:

or this 18K Universal Geneve from 1965:

or here's an 18K Omega from 1947:

and one last solid 18K 1950s chronograph:

All these are currently for sale on eBay.  Just search within wristwatches: "vintage +18K" .

You might mention some sort of very general budget range as gold watches can be all over the place pricewise. Maybe $5000 to $10,000 or something like that. I believe a Rolex President is now selling for about $22,000 in yellow gold.

So, maybe let us know some brands you have looked at or tend to favor such as Corum, Omega, Rolex, etc. I don't shop for a gold watch everyday so others here will chime in with suggestions I'm sure. :D

I have a brick & mortar dealer who handle all types of new and preowned high end watches.  Web site (cannot buy off the web site) is http://www.eastcoastjewelry.com.

PM me for more detail if need.

If looking for something in the $1000 - 3000 range you could try going to shopNBC and doing a search for "watches men's 18K" There was a Philip there I almost went for due to having a Val. 7750 in it. :D;)
