It would be sweet if there were a chunky but athletic somewhat more petit/feminine version of the Benarus style.

Women can wear Benarus as they are. Big styles are in fashion for ladies also. My wife has been wearing the yellow Sea Devil lately.

Same for me, my girlfriend also wears a Sea Devil but I know a lot women who a bit smaller watches

So what have you in mind if you ask for  a women diver, what size what colors

My experience is also that women prefer quartz watches they are not interested in the movement itself and like if they can wear it any time without setting the time

I think the idea of a women watch in general is good because our women accept our watch hobby more when they also get a new toy

I agree with you on the quartz 100% and I think a good size would be sub 40mm and around a 20mm bracelet, but must have a timing bezel. I think many women's watches today are also quartz chronographs.

I'd definately be in on one for the wife.  Maybe 38-40 mm, white or light blue dial and certainly a quartz.  hand6.gif

If you are seriously considering a women's watch, then you should make one that women will want, rather than one which their partner's think they want.  In my book a women's dive watch should be between 33mm and 37 mm diameter, not including crown.  Anything larger than that is a man's watch.  It should not be overtly girly - if it has a mother of pearl dial and diamante on the bezel then it's not a dive watch!  So, make it black dial, with a regular dive bezel; a mix of brushed and polished finish on the case and a brushed steel bracelet.  It should definately have a date function.

My wife had the Seiko SUG089, I say "had" because she lost the dang thing:X.

Anyways, it was a nice watch (self winding too) but at 34mm it was a little small.

My wife has a tiny wrist, probably about 6 inches, she is wearing watches 39mm to 44mm and her friends are now doing the same.

100% agree that it should be quartz, she also is constantly changing the straps to match her outfit...so quick change straps would be a great touch.

I agree w/ MartinCRC. A real dive watch 35 - 37mm not a fashion accessory. Having said that I think it would be a narrow market...

I created a monster and my wife owns about 8 quartz watches and two auto's....she wants more autos in her collection...so I would vote for an auto
