OK, so I had a great Christmas with the family and all.  But this was my forst year ever buying a timepiece online (being in the industry for many years we were always "suspect" of online watch dealers).  But after doing some homewark and wanting a new watch, I took a chance this year.  I don't have pics yet, but will try to upload some asap.

1) On JTV I bought a Riedenschild Dark Sea Diver Multi for $139.  The sucker has a huge 45MM dial, automatic, thick saph crystal and exhib back, day/date and subdials with 24hr, month and year, comes with both rubber and SS bracelets.  Seriously, for $139 how can you possibly go wrong?

2) On ShopNBC I got an Invicta Pro Diver with fishscale dial for $80.  Come on now...auto, saph crystal, 20atm, 43MM dial, SS bracelt, date with magnifying eye over the date.  It's a great Omega knock off to boot!  For $80, and I got the extended 5year ext service plan and free shipping.  Seriously, how can you beat that?

For about $220, I got to really nice auto watches.  That's less than what I spent 4 years ago to buy a pretty ghetto ESQ.

While I think you can get ripped off with some of these shop at home channels ( their pricing on old model Movados, TAGs and Baumes is awful!), if you know what to look for there are some serious deals to be had.

Just wanted to share and I'll get pics out as I can,

~QTE

Glad you got over your suspicion of " on-line" dealers.;) I would however draw a distinction between "shopping network" vendors and "on-line" vendors. No need to suspect those like Doxa, and DeBaufre which have sold watches mainly via "on-line" means whilst we all know the stories that go along with the "shopping network" watches and those like Renato sold only via one outlet and which exist only to be hawked via the airwaves...

Regardless you got yourself a lot of watch for a little outlay so you gotta be lovin' it.

Oh... I can't pass an opportunity up!

Fair call out on both points Pax, my suspicion has been with the shop networks more than the online dealer.  I should have clarified better.  As for you comment on the pics, I agree.  Hope to post some soon...

If you search the forums (not just this one) you will find very mixed reviews on customer satisfaction with Invicta owners.  Invicta has a reputation of poor quality control and even worse customer service.  They are also known for "strtching the truth"!
