I had a weak moment a couple of weeks ago and had Harold put together a nice 031 for me.
I haven't owned one before and to listen to the gossip on the forums you would think this model should come out of a gumball machine but It is surprisingly well built with the usual flawless fit and finish the bezel is omni-directional which I haven't seen from Seiko before but it is nice and smooth and reasonably tight. The bezel feels different than the 007 cases but not cheaper the crown is a bit small but still easy to use all in all I really like the 031, I'm not sure why I didn't check it out sooner!

Of course it's got the usual Yobokies upgrades; ARSapphire, Super Oyster bracelet, Mercedes hands, original bracelet, and a nice zulu strap to top it all off!

Quick and dirties:

Very nice. Like Nick I'm not nuts about NATO, but I bet that watch looks sweet on the super oyster. Congrats on a nice Mod.

It does indeed look great on the super oyster, I will take some pictures of it on the oyster too. I work in a computer store so metal bracelets don't last long reaching into computers all day long... plus the comfort of the zulu is hard to beat...

Thats a good one, Chris. Nice 031 pickup! Have never had Harold do a watch for me, but from what I hear and read, he does some great work. Congratulations!
