Has anyone else played around with Chrome yet, installed it last night and I really like it...the thing I like most is when you increase the text size it does not overlap the end of the screen..it stays fit to width cool10.gif

So if I decide to download it, is there any reason I should get rid of IE? I just want to make sure everything works properly before I do so, and I want to make sure there's no reason I shouldn't be able to have both available. TIA! David

I've been using chrome on and off in concert with IE. 3T works a lot better for me using IE but I will say Chrome is quick and stable. And also easy to use. Been using it a lot for Facebook and my Mafia Wars addiction. I don't see any need to try and get rid of IE though I don't think you can ever really get rid of IE on a windows box... kinda like AOL that way.;)

I've had similar experience with it...without a doubt much faster than IE or FF...no need to get rid of IE, like Pax said, not even sure you can...i have all three on all my machines now

I tried Chrome but it didn't seem intuitive at all. I couldn't find my list of favorites, tools, or other features that seemed lost? I might try it again, based on what everyone is saying about speed loading pages. Anything I should know about where my favorites are?

Yeh...the Beta version was very buggy, removed it after a couple of hours, but have been running the CR for about 5 weeks without problem...also downloaded for each of my boy's computers. I'm not sure why everybody feels the need to attack Bill Gates. No one has done more for personal computing than he has, including investing $150 Million in Apple to keep them out of bankruptcy. Like it or not, MS operating systems power 94% of the market...and while Apple has seen a 16% decline in computer sales since last October, the PC platform has seen a 22% increase. While Firefox is used by quite a few, Chrome usage is less than 4% of the PC users. If there is a better OS than Microsoft that will make the PC platform run better, then why has virtually everything else failed to storm the market? OS2 went nowhere, Xenix and Linux are failures and even the highly touted, absolutely free, Ubunto is going nowhere. If Apple/Macintosh is so great, then why haven't they developed an OS for the PC platform?...instead they are building their computers to run the Microsoft operating systems...go figure!
