That is something I have not gotten to do Skip.. an aerial view..

Funny story for you Skip eons ago out here in CA we had an amusement park called Marine Land, well they hada little lagoon deal with some  sharks in it and the only thing keeping me out of the area was a stupid rope.. Needless to say my mom was furious when security brought me over and explained she better watch me and i can not go back over and "pet the sharks" lmao I was about 10.. they were cute and harmless. 3-5 foot leopard sharks.

lol

There are only 3 types of sharks that are known to attack humans.

1) Bull Shark
2) Tiger Shark
3) Great White Shark

Sharks are highly intelligent, the brain-mass to body-mass ratio is closely
related to those of mammals and higher vertebrate species. The next
time you see a shark, basically think of them as a type of fish with a
cartilaginous skeleton with a streamline body and a lifespan of 100 years.

The largest of these sharks is the Whale Shark, this is a plankton eater
at 40 ft in length can weigh up to 13.6 tonnes (15 short tons).
This gentle giant can only be found in tropical and warm waters with
a lifespan of 70 years.  Divers and snorkelers can swim with this giant fish
without any risk apart from unintentionally being struck
by the shark's large tail fin.

Cheers,
Simon

BULLSHIT.....

1) Mako

2) Sand

3) Hammerhead

4) Sand Tiger shark

5) Requiem shark

6) Nurse shark

7) Shortfin Mako

8) Blacktip shark

9) Blue shark

10) Galapagos shark

11) Tresher shark

12) Whitetip Reef shark

13) Leopard shark

IN ADDITION TO THESE LISTED AND THE 3 YOU LISTED, there are 23 other types of sharks that are known to attack humans...if you want them...I got them!

When you put your foot in the ocean, you go from the top of the food chain to the bottom of the food chain!!!

Cheers,

Ken

I too am interested in sharks.  As a USAF helicopter pilot I saw an amazing number of sharks while flying over the water.  I was very surprised to see a very large number of sharks to include Hammerheads all along the Gulf Coast of Florida!!!  The surprising part was that on numerous occasions the sharks were only about 15 feet from the shore. :shock::shock:  The other place I saw a large number of sharks was in Asia (Philippines, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and etc) but no where near as many as in the Gulf Coast!!!  cool10.gif  As Bigrustypig mentioned, it is easy to think about the Jaws movies when you see them so close to shore.

Saw my first shark when I was 8 years old. Right over here on the North end of Whidbey Island the family and friends were fishing for Cod. My brother 10 at the time caught a 3 foot nurse shark I think it was. Being just 8 I was wowed. Interested in sharks from then on. :)
