GEN Tommy Franks. He served as Artillery Forward Observer (FO) for the company back in the day as a young 2LT. I had emailed him inviting him to the Big Red One reunion in St Louis this summer and our tribute to 1LT Larry Garner (KIA) the Original Bandido..and while he sent his regrets, he is preparing a letter to present to the surviving family members of LT Garner, explaining what Garner's legacy means to him! Most guys of his stature would not have even responded! Nice to know there are some real heroes left! hand6.gif
