this morning about the BCS Championship Game last night.  Let me simply say that I believe the picked the wrong MVP's!  Why is it always the QB?  Flynn did a great job, but Hester carried the night...and defensively, why didn't Coleman, with 3 key plays (2 fumble recoveries and a key interception), carry the night, instead of the guy that had one excellent defensive play blocking a field goal?

Dont forget LSU's tight end...forgot his name, but besides the 2 TD catches, if you watched, this kid made a ton of blocks and played extremely well.

Congratulations to LSU and to the SEC.

On the OSU side, they had a great year (again). Picked to finish no better than 3rd in their conference they won the title and beat Michigan for the 4th year in a row.

Did they really belong in the title game this year? In a normal year they wouldn't have made it. They may have been ranked in the top 10, but certainly not #1. But, that's where they wound up.  Ahead of LSU, Georgia, West Virginia, and USC. The BCS system didn't work that well (IMHO).

OSU played a bit better at times this year, but made too many errors to maintain their composure. Once they lost composure, it was game over.

Is the Big Ten as weak as they say? Yup, I think so. And, it isn't going to get any stronger in the near future. The Big Ten needs to make some changes. MAC schools are getting closer in talent and are beating (at times) the lower 5 in the Big Ten now every year.

I truly wish it had been a closer game...I actually felt badly for the kids that had played their hearts out over the season!

And yes, the BCS needs to do something about the way they grade "strength of schedule".  It would allow for much rankings.  Every conference, at one time or another, has its day.  The SEC crushes each other, the Big 12 is making a come-back, the ACC is doing some damage and the PAC 10 and Big 10 are overated.  While there are the anomalies of "any team on any given day"...the SEC fared well during bowl season sending 7 of it's 13 team to bowls.  The won 5 and lost 2 with Michigan walloping Florida and Mizzou humiliating Arkansas after they beat LSU!

Bottom lie: it was one of the most intriguing college football season I have ever seen!

Yep...I use the "rebuilding" excuse for Florida, too.  I believe next year 98% of the team will be Freshman thru Junior...75% was freshman and sophomore this year with, I believe, 2 seniors that started.
