Some of the screw drivers are a little thick and don't fit into the screw slots, please work slow and carefully with your screw drivers and if they seem to not be working, DO NOT continue, you might damage the screws. you can take it to a local jeweler if you do not have proper tools, or are not use to working with the small parts. ALSO: some of the lug bar screws are very tight and have a bit of loc-tite on them. if you are having trouble taking the lug bars out, do not force it, you might break the head of the screw off.

first off, thanks for the watch - got mine today and i'm even more impressed than i thought i'd be. 2nd, the screwdriver issue is no joke, not too much damage but i did scratch the screws a bit when i adjusted the braclet and def scratched the lug bar screw trying to put on the leather strap... thanks for the watch though - it looks great.

you should always put a piece of masking tape over the screws both lug and bracelet to avoid scratches and it also provides a nice tight fit for the driver so it doesn't slip hand6.gif

Steve, Do the screws require any thread locker to stay together long term? Thx. Seth

yes, what I am talking about is not slipping and scratching the watch, but the actual fit of the driver and the link screws. the drivers should fit fine in the lugs, but you should really use a wider driver for removing the lug bars, but I am also warning of the loc-tite used on the screws to keep them in place. If you are not use to sizing a bracelet, I suggest going to a local jeweler for help. Last edited on Fri Aug 14th, 2009 05:00 pm by Steve Laughlin |

I'm one of those unfortunate guys who received the dead-tight screw :? I have 2 Morays, one is OK even though a bit tight but another one is deadly locked :? Sent it to the professional hands to solve the problem, hope to get it back soon. Can't wait to wear it ;)

Blow dryer worked to loosen the screws... But my lug bars won't slide out. I will have to find some time to do surgery. I want so badly to have a STRASHION SHOW.

A tooth pick is typically a good tool for retrieving stuck SMALL parts from a non blind hole. It won't mar and its usually rigid enough. I used to build high end cars that had lots of expensive, visible surface and tooth picks got me out of more than one jam.
