Yes, the thought is still there. I just have to work up the courage. Although...i ordered a watch case opener on Ebay. I see myself, taking my Poljot apart and somehow getting at the chrono hands...painting them yellow. Mind you...I have NO experience whatsoever. But...I have the courage:P or shall I say, the misinformed/innocent belief that I can anything i put my mind to. That seems like a go. It's just a matter of the watch case opener arriving in the mail. ;-) Here is a poor example of my idea for the my Poljot. I am big on yellow and orange for that retro cool thing.
